XBOX One/Series S/X

If your Xbox has never been used on another internet connection before, you will have trouble finding your wired MAC address. The system requires an internet connection in order to reach the settings menu where the MAC address is located.

Use this work around to find your MAC address:

  1. Allow the Xbox One to run through the system setup, and let it fail.
  2. Select "Fix It", and let it attempt to diagnose the issue
  3. After the "Fix It" fails, the Xbox will bring you to a screen prompting you to manually set up the connection. This screen will list both the wireless and wired MAC address.
  4. Record the wired MAC (see Connect to Network (gaming device)).

If you have connected to the internet before, this is how to locate the Mac address:

  1. If you are signed into your profile, navigate to My Games & Apps.
  2. select Settings.
  3. In the settings pane, select Network.
