Microsoft Teams Update Recommendation

We recommend updating your Teams app to ensure you have the best experience and functionality.


Check Your Microsoft Teams Version

To locate your current Microsoft Teams installed build information, please follow these steps:

  1. Open Microsoft Teams and sign in.

  2. Click on the 3-dot menu left of your profile icon in the title bar and select Settings.

  3. Select 'About Teams' at the bottom of the left pane.

  4. The top box on the right will show you the current version of this client.


Version Requirement

If this version does not show the text "Early Access", uninstall this client and install the new version.


Uninstall Teams - Windows 11

  1. Right-click on the start button and select 'Installed Apps'.

  2. Locate Microsoft Teams in the list.

  3. Click the 3-dot menu on its row and select Uninstall.

  4. Follow prompts to complete its removal.


Uninstall Teams - Windows 10

  1. Right-click on the start button and select 'Apps & Features'.

  2. Locate Microsoft Teams in the list.

  3. Click on its row and select Uninstall.

  4. Follow the prompts to complete its removal.


Uninstall Teams - Mac

  1. While in Finder, select Go from the top menu, and open the Applications folder.

  2. Locate the Microsoft Teams application and drag it to the Trash Bin.

  3. You may have to enter the password you use to log into the computer to complete the application removal.
