When creating a Microsoft Teams Meeting, you will have options to allow certain people or groups to bypass the lobby when joining a meeting.


Below is the settings screen for a typical Teams Meeting.

  • People in my org and guests - This is the default setting. This would allow anyone with the organizer or co-organizer role for that meeting, anyone with a UF account, and guests to bypass the lobby.
  • Everyone - This will allow anyone to bypass the lobby.
  • People in my org, trusted orgs, and guests - Anyone with a UF account, a trusted organization, or guests bypass the lobby.
  • People in my org and guests - Anyone with a UF account and guests bypass the lobby.
  • People in my org - Anyone with a UF account bypasses the lobby.
  • People who were invited- Anyone with the organizer or co-organizer role for that meeting and anyone who was sent or forwarded an invite bypass the lobby.
    • Only people who were invited applies only to participants who were sent an invite directly, who are part of an invited distribution list (of up to 10,000 users), or to whom an invite was forwarded. Users added via Invite members in a channel meeting wait in the lobby.
  • Only organizers and co-organizers - Anyone with the organizer or co-organizer role for that meeting bypass the lobby.
