The University of Findlay utilizes Respondus LockDown Browser as a proctoring tool for examinations conducted within Canvas. To ensure a seamless testing experience on Windows, Mac, or Chromebook devices at our institution, please use the following link to download the required installer:
Once the installation is complete, Respondus LockDown Browser will automatically activate when students attempt a quiz in Canvas, specifically when using the New Quizzes tool. However, in the case of Classic Quizzes, it is imperative for students to manually launch LockDown Browser before accessing the exam. To do so, please follow these steps:
- Launch Respondus LockDown Browser.
- Sign in to Canvas using your UFnet username and password.
- Navigate to your course and locate the quiz you wish to take.
Failure to initiate Respondus LockDown Browser before attempting a Classic Quizzes exam will result in the following message being displayed to the student:
